On 5 August 2019, SWPC/NOAA issued a warning for a minor Geomagnetic Storm, NOAA Level G1 and index Kp 5. The estimated planetary K index reached a value of 5 for the three-hourly interval from 6 to 18 and a value of 4 for the three-hourly interval 18 – 24.
The real-time HF-Interferometry method of TechTIDE detected TID activity with a dominant period of about 130 minutes from 12:00 to 16:00 and during nighttime and TID activity with a dominant period of 100 in the evening (from 16:00 to 17:00) for the northernmost European stations. The TID propagated dominantly southward and lasted from 12:00 (UT) to 23:00 (UT).
