Dr Konstantinos Koutroumbas
Dr Konstantinos Koutroumbas is a senior researcher at the Institute for Astronomy, Astrophysics, Space Applications and Remote Sensing (IAASARS) of NOA. He received a diploma in Computer Engineering and Informatics from the University of Patras, Greece, in 1989, an MSc in Advanced Methods in Computer Science from Queen Mary, University of London, U.K., in 1990, and a PhD in Informatics from the homonym department of the University of Athens, Greece, in 1995.
He is expert in pattern recognition (classification and clustering), applications based on neural networks, processing of hyperspectral images, analysis of ionospheric data and remote sensing data with pattern recognition techniques.
In TechTIDE Konstantinos Koutroumbas will work on the ionospheric background specification task.
